Salary: $96,000.00-$144,000.00 per year

The Supervisor – Maintenance will plan, schedule and direct daily maintenance activities for multi-skill mechanics and contractors.  Available for consultations and assistance with maintenance or staffing issues throughout the mill.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Plan/Schedule work orders.  Supervise the activities of Maintenance personnel assigned to their area.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure capital projects are implemented with maintenance concerns addressed.
  • Assign and direct work to meet maintenance requirements, while coordinating to meet production schedules with a minimum of downtime and cost.
  • Check all completed work before releasing equipment to Operations Department. Ensure build/repair documentation is completed and recorded.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of preventative maintenance / basic care and documentation.
  • Issue direct and storeroom requisitions for repair parts & supplies necessary to perform Electrical Maintenance work.
  • Administer company policy, enforce company rules & regulations.  Maintain discipline & administer Union-Management Agreement.
  • Participate in plant safety, fire prevention, housekeeping programs & maintain safe working conditions & practices to ensure compliance with State & Federal Safety Standards.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSME / BSMET or equivalent
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Technical Training / Experience with Industrial Maintenance
  • Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Industrial Maintenance (bearings, gears, conveyors, drives, etc)
  • Experience with metal and process piping fabrication.
  • Experience with alignment and balancing of rotating equipment.
  • Experience with / understanding of vibration, lubrication, and infrared analysis.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
