The Supervisor – Maintenance will plan, schedule and direct daily maintenance activities for multi-skill mechanics and contractors. Available for consultations and assistance with maintenance or staffing issues throughout the mill.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Plan/Schedule work orders. Supervise the activities of Maintenance personnel assigned to their area.
- Work closely with engineering to ensure capital projects are implemented with maintenance concerns addressed.
- Assign and direct work to meet maintenance requirements, while coordinating to meet production schedules with a minimum of downtime and cost.
- Check all completed work before releasing equipment to Operations Department. Ensure build/repair documentation is completed and recorded.
- Participate in continuous improvement of preventative maintenance / basic care and documentation.
- Issue direct and storeroom requisitions for repair parts & supplies necessary to perform Electrical Maintenance work.
- Administer company policy, enforce company rules & regulations. Maintain discipline & administer Union-Management Agreement.
- Participate in plant safety, fire prevention, housekeeping programs & maintain safe working conditions & practices to ensure compliance with State & Federal Safety Standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- BSME / BSMET or equivalent
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Technical Training / Experience with Industrial Maintenance
- Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Industrial Maintenance (bearings, gears, conveyors, drives, etc)
- Experience with metal and process piping fabrication.
- Experience with alignment and balancing of rotating equipment.
- Experience with / understanding of vibration, lubrication, and infrared analysis.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
